We started out our Christmas break with daddy being home from work. It was nice to all be together...even though it was very busy. We spent time with friends. Had hot chocolate. Looked at Christmas lights. Celebrated Jesus' birthday with a pizza party. ( days before the big day) On Christmas Eve, Russell's family came over. We had a packed house! We enjoyed lots and lots of food....and of course, the company. We baked cookies for Santa when everyone left, and made sure to leave food outside for the reindeer too. Santa visited our house that night. He left all kinds of goodies for our good boys and girl. Harrison's favorite was by far the ping pong set. It was easy to know which one was Leyton's favorite, because he stopped everything to tell us just how much he loves his new drums. Erin-Elizabeth is enjoying her new walker---it's a pink baby doll stroller. Right after opening our presents, we loaded up the car and headed to Mimi and Poppy's house. We stayed snug in our Christmas jammies and went on our way. Santa brought us new DVD's, so the trip was pretty fun with the new entertainment. All the kids were thrilled to get to Mimi and Poppy's house. They love it there! My sister and her family came over and we had another fun-filled Christmas celebration. We spent the entire day in our jammies playing with our family, the Wii, and the new karaoke machine. It was nice. We stayed there for a whole week! Lots of good family time. On NYE, we toasted to the new year around 6:30 pm...and even mommy was asleep by 9:30. Probably because we were all a little under the weather. On New Years day we had our traditional seafood meal....crab legs, shrimp, black eyed peas, and northern beans. This year I even ate some collard greens. All the kids ate their black eyed peas and northern beans except Harrison---he's at that lovely "I'm not going to eat" phase of being 2. I crushed up both beans in his chocolate milk. And I'm not even superstitious. I had to though.
We had a great time celebrating with our family!! And just think....we'll be celebrating a little one year old's birthday in a little over a week!!

So, between the two of them...Leyton and Sam...I'm pretty sure they could start a preschool garage band! Sam got and electric guitar from his Nana and Pappi for Cmas!
