Baby 3...what will you be?

In the beginning I thought it was a girl. Now, I am positive it is a boy. We shall see...on Monday!

Chuck E Cheese

Leyton told me that he wanted to go somewhere today...and then asked, "Can we go to Chuck E Cheese please?" That was his first time to really ask to go somewhere and not just ask where we are going. So...we got in the car and headed to Chuck E Cheese. When we walked in he said, "I am so happy, Mommy!" I know that seems like a very simple statement, but hearing that your baby is happy is the best feeling in the world!

Ten Terrific Months!

Happy 10 Month Birthday, to my right hand man. Literally. This kid is my hip baby. He likes to be right there with mommy...all the time. I walk a few steps into the other room....WATERWORKS! He now just crawls up to me and pulls on my legs. I love it...secretly I do. It's fantastic that he thinks me and Russell are the greatest. I figure in a few years we aren't going to be near as cool to him as his friends and toys are, so I am soaking it up.

Leyton and Harrison are playing together these days which is super fun. Harrison's entire body shakes with excitement when he sees Leyton come into the room. Leyton loves to make his little brother dance and laugh! It's great to watch.

He gives us fabulous kisses...complete with the smack and all. He REALLY snuggles in tight and loves to be squeezed and kissed. (I think I write that every month!) Oh so sweet and snuggly. Just such a lovebug!

He is a crazy man like his brother. He gets to places he shouldn't be and that is where he spends most of his time. He just thinks I am so mean because I won't let him chew on cords and such. I know,I know...MEAN MOMMY! He tries to climb behind the tv to get to all the wires but mommy always ruins his fun. Needless to say, we have MORE babyproofing that we will complete this weekend!

Hard to believe his one year birthday is around the corner. He's such a sweet dubs...and he makes our lives sooo much brighter! :)

Where Does He Get This Stuff??!

...yeah, probably me. Today Harrison was crawling up the stairs for the first time and I chanted "Go Harrison, Go Harrison"---then my goofy little Leyton says, "It's your birthday, not a holiday, get busy, like Sha-nae-nae." No joke. I guess that chant has come out of my mouth more than once without me even realizing it!

Leyton also has been going up to people and asking "What's shakin' bacon?" Yep, that's my boy!!!

Dora Live!

We went as a family to see Dora Live at Nokia Theater last Saturday. Leyton enjoyed the show. Don't get me wrong, he wasn't up jammin' to the songs like most other kids. He sat completely still, staring at the stage the entire time. I think his favorite part was how dark the theater got. That is all he has talked about since the show.

Our Oldest Spaghetti Lover...

gotta love that smile!

Our Youngest Spaghetti Lover...

He loves it. Can't get enough. Just like his big brother.

Oh and look at his new top teeth.

A Week of Fun with the Fam!

My sis and her boys came to stay with us for a week. We had a great time!
Monday: Rainforest Cafe and Ice Age movie
Tuesday: The Children's Museum
Wednesday: Six Flags
Thursday: Chuck-E-Cheese's
Friday: sad to say----they headed home and Leyton's big outing was to the pediatrician's office. Virus. "Let it run its course...again!"

Identical.

Here are pics of the boys at the children's museum in the astronaut outfit. Is it just me, or do they look identical? Too bad Harrison thought it was a good idea to eat the outfit. ick.

New News---Leyton!

Leyton had a great 4th...he was dressed as a superhero. (complete with his American Flag cape and red undies) He loved being "superman." He was dressed this way because of the theme of our golf cart for the neighborhood parade. (Our Soldiers are our REAL superheroes) He liked fireworks until the sparkler burned his hand. He's over them now. He preferred drinking Kool-Aid Blasters while watching his cousins doing the rest of them.

He is fasting. (aka not eating) Too bad it isn't for a wonderfully spiritual reason. These days it takes a bunch of persuasion to get him to eat a meal. He used to eat so well...those days are gone.

Like I have mentioned before, he is a fan of Blue's Clues. Other things he is a fan of? Playing in the dirt. His notebook. Popsicles. (those are not included in his fast) Pretending like he's driving our car. Taking his buckle off while I am driving. (yeah...that one warrants a spanking. That is really the only thing he ever gets a spanking for---last time he told me to be gentle with his hiney) Making his brother laugh. Singing made up songs. Making up new words. Swimming. Jumping in the pool.

He's a fun kid.

He had a fever over the weekend. He woke up a few times in the middle of the night which he almost never does. He complained of his mouth hurting this am. I took him to the doctor...feeling a tad silly about going. Turns out his tongue and throat is covered in painful blisters. A virus. "Let it run it's course." No fun.

New News---Harrison!

Harrison has normal hearing! YEA! The ENT told me that we should continue to watch for drainage from his ears. If it continues, we are going to most likely have surgery to remove his adenoids and replace his set of tubes. I hope that is not the case, but I am SO thankful that his hearing is not permanently damaged!

He has two pearly whites that just broke through on top. 4 teeth total. The top ones will make him look like a big boy.

He has been tons of fun. His personality is really taking off and it seems that he takes after his big brother with his EXTRA loud voice. I guess he didn't have much hope since there isn't one person in our family who is soft spoken. When he wakes up and starts "talking" in his crib, I can't tell whether it is Leyton or Harrison sometimes. Their voices really sound so much alike.

I know I have mentioned how laid back Harrison is before. While he is still completely mellow and laid back, he has started to cry more often these days. He cries when he can't keep up with his brother or when he can't get to sitting position after crawling around. Just plain frustrated. He also cries BIG TIME every time Russell or I leave his sight. He has always just snuggled up to his lovie and fallen asleep when we lay him in his crib....NOT ANYMORE! Now he cries and cries and cries when we walk out of his room. He was up on and off until 10 pm last night. Just plain separation issues. Poor man.

Hmmmm....other new news about Harrison? He thinks his brother is a comedian. He has a hair fetish. (he cannot take his hands off my hair....and he even loves my hairbrush. scary) He loves his "ba ba" (bottle) and gets so excited everytime he sees one. He doesn't like ham. He dressed up as a superhero for the 4th of July. (complete with his American flag cape and blue undies---pictures coming soon!) He's chubby...about 22 lbs. He's tall....about 29 inches. He's a giggle box. He loves to be tickled. He is the best snuggler I know.

Well, there you have it. New News about Harrison!

Baby # 3.....

We had our 12 week appointment today. Heard the heartbeat. :) Leyton asked "what is that funny noise?" He says there is baby brother in mommy's tummy. We will find out whether he is right on August 3rd!
