Harrison Loves Letters--

I mentioned before that Harrison is obsessed with his letters and sounds. He is constantly on the look-out to find letters when we are out and about. I'd love to tell you it is because I have done such a wonderful job teaching him...but I wasn't the one who taught him. Leap and Tad deserve all the credit! (Leap Frog dvd's) Every time we are in the car for a roadtrip, that is what the boys watch. They both love it! (oh...and Brainy Baby makes great dvds too for letters, numbers, shapes, and colors!)

At soccer tots, Harrison stops kicking the ball in the middle of the field just to point out the big "B" painted on the side of the wall. How studious! ;)

SCHOOOOOLS out for SUMMER!

That's the tune being sung around our house. School's out. Leyton has his second year at the Creative Learning Center under his belt. It's been a great year! He loved his teachers, Ms. Roz and Ms. Sophia. He made so many fabulous art projects. He napped on a cot. He had gym and music class. The teachers describe him as being a rule follower. They also say that he is a man of few words which completely cracks me up. He doesn't stop talking EVER when he is with us. Seriously...not ever. Seriously. Do you know that I am serious when I say not ever?!? :)

First day of school...with Harrison crawling in the background.

Last day of school with Ms. Roz and Harrison. (not great pic...every one we took had that cloudy mark on Roz's face!)

Preschool officially starts for Leyton next year.

&&&&& Next time we walk through the doors of the CLC, I will be taking both of my boys to school!

Our family is looking forward to a fun-filled summer with later bedtimes---there is a lot of fun to be had!

Great Wolf Lodge

The 5 of us and sweet Mimi went to the Great Wolf Lodge this past weekend. We stayed Sunday and Monday night and had a fabulous time. The boys...especially Leyton loved it! They were champs at going down the water slides. Harrison would need a little nudge and then he'd be giggling by the time he was at the bottom of the slide. I knew if he did it once, he'd love it. I was right!

The rooms are great there because the kid area is sectioned off from the bigger beds. Although, Harrison wouldn't stay in his bunk so he ended up in the Pack-n-Play both nights. Mimi bunked with Leyton in the bunk beds. Here's why...

Little Miss thought she needed an entire bed all to herself. Poor Mimi.

Tones reading in his bunk.

Ready to go!

T Bone

Some of my favorite things Leyton has said/done lately...
* He always tells me he has 3 questions for me...or 8 questions for me. (he always gives me the number.) At bedtime it is usually 10. I tell him he can ask 3. Then he says "ooookay....well this is my zero question." The rat always gets an extra question every time because I don't have the heart to tell him that doesn't make sense.
* His 3 questions always consist of..."Is it gonna rain?" "Is it gonna snow?" and "Is daddy going to stay here?" His zero question is usually "Can I have more books in my bed?"
(and by the way Russell stays home every night---don't know why he worries about that!)
* He strips every inch of clothing off when he needs to poop. He says that is what the big boys do.
* He told me when he is 60 he will go down the slide at Chick-fil-a. That's when he will quit being scared of the tunnel.
* He wants to grow up and be daddy. He will have 2 kids and their names will be Harrison and Erin-Elizabeth. Oh, and he'll drive a white car.

There are so many more. I'll have to blog them as he says them. He's nutty! And we love it!

Well Check...4 Months!

It was a family affair. Leyton and Harrison got a recheck on their ears and daddy was there too for moral support. EE was a trooper.

Remember how I told you in the last post that our girl always wakes at the same time every morning to eat? Well, since I wrote that she decided to revert back to her newborn days. She woke up every night since then to eat...one night she was up twice. She hasn't done that since before she was 2 months old! Yeah...I know what it is like to get a full night's rest again...she can't do this to me! SO...the doc told me to start giving her solids.

She just went through a growth spurt. She is 24.25 inches long, her head is 15.75 inches around, and she weighs 15 lbs. 5 oz.

She also got 2 shots. She is not a fan. Neither am I. She was fine after I explained to her that she only gets those nasty shots because I love her and want her to stay healthy. No, not really. She was fine after I held her and gave her a pink paci. :)

WHY ME?????????????

Our Girl is 4 Months Old!

Double E is 4 months old! She is sweet and squishy. A little about our 4 month old? She eats 5 times a day. She goes to sleep at about 6 pm and wakes up at about 5:30 am. Then I go get her and lay in bed with her on my chest. She will sleep there until 6:34. Like clockwork. That's when I feed her. Seriously, 9 times out of 10 she wakes at that exact time. She likes to be held. She prefers to be looking out at the world. She loves being toted around in the Baby Bjorn. She will play in her exersaucer and on her activity mat, but not for long periods of time. She would much rather be in the action. She sleeps with a pacifier. She only likes the button ones...not the ones with the ring on front. Girly knows what she likes and she sure isn't afraid to let you know....loudly. Homegirl has a screech like you've never heard before. She has left my ears ringing on more than one occasion. She has the cutest little coos. She smiles lots. When she cries her lip hits the floor just like her big brother Harrison. EE loves her tummy for sleep time. Not so much for tummy time. She has long skinny feet and chubby thighs. (& cheeks!) She loves her bath and loves lying on the changing pad. She is growing up so fast and I just can't believe that she is my last baby. Sometimes I look at her and can't believe that I will never ever have a baby this exact size again. I just love her to bits and bits and bits. She's my bud.

Pondering...about what? Probably when I'll screech in my mommy's ear again.

Chillin'...it's a tough life around here!

hmmm, I think I'll smile really big...my mommy seems to get a kick out of that for some reason.

Happy 4 months our sweet girl! We love you!

Surprise!

After a long week of doctor's appointment...we had one every day, Russell told me to pack a bag for me and the kids. How fun! I love surprises! We headed for a family fun night at the Gaylord Texan to celebrate Mother's Day.

We ate dinner, played in the room, went on adventures (walks), went swimming, and of course had ice cream. The kids loved it and so did we! Thanks hubs for the fun surprise. It was worth an (almost) sleepless night. 3 kids in one hotel room is eventful!! We had a "spill" out of the pack n play, a broken glass in the bathroom, a chatty 19 month old late into the night, and an extremely hyper 3 year old. We were up and out of the hotel room on another walk by 6 am. yawwwwn.

Now, a babysitter is coming over to watch the kids for the day while mommy and daddy go get massages and shop! He is doing Mother's Day up right!

Bye Bye for Now!

Leyton just finished up his second session of soccer tots with Coach Kendra. He loves her. He wants "spots" on his legs just like Coach Kendra. (think dark tribal tattoos.) He did a great job and is so fun to watch. His first session, mommy (who was very pregnant) did all the soccer drills with him. This season he was out on his own. He is very much a "rule follower" on the field and he turns to look at us with the thumbs up sign at least 8 times a pratice. We are saying goodbye to soccer tots for a while---he has decided to become a Little Slugger. "Hey batta, batta!"

Bringin' Home the Gold!

hmmmm...what is this thing?!?

Oh yeah...it is my gold medal for being a super cool soccer tot!

Harrison finished up his first season of soccer tots! He loved it! He, like his brother, is a big fan of Coach Kendra. He likes to "AWWW Boom" the ball. He likes to people watch. Oh and of course he likes to get his stamps at the end. When he got his gold medal today, Leyton came up and patted him and told him that he was SO proud of him! Now that's some brotherly love!

# 1 Fan

Here is EE all ready to go watch her brothers at their last soccer tots...

Well, soccer is kinda boring...maybe I'll just chew on my daddy's hand.
