What's New?

Ok...here it goes...

Harrison: he had his hearing test yesterday at the ENT. He showed moderate hearing loss which is obviously not good. The audiologist talked to me about a more extensive hearing test where they will put him to sleep. Just as I was feeling like barfing in the dr's office, the doctor informed me that it is probably due to drainage in his ears rather than permanent hearing loss. Better news....not great news but SOOO much better. Apparently, Harrison is in the 2% of kiddos that still have ear infections and drainage after tubes. This has happened twice...if it happens four times, the doctor wants to talk about surgery to remove his adenoids. He is young for this surgery, but not the youngest the dr. has ever seen. Harrison was a trooper when the doctor pulled ick out of his ears, put in drops, used some vibrator machine thingy (yes, that is the medical term), and put antibiotic powder in his ears. He is on ear drops and a stronger antibiotic now. He goes back in 4 weeks to repeat his hearing test and check his ears. Please pray that my sweet little man will be able to hear perfectly at that time.

Marsha: had my sonogram yesterday. Baby was a cute little pea with a good heartbeat. The doctor changed my due date to January 20th. This is very special for my family...especially my mom. My mom had a baby in between me and my sister who was born on January 20th. She lived for 2 weeks before passing away. It will be nice for my mom to have something happy to write on the calendar for that day.

Our family: we are typically not so indecisive, but we have changed our mind AGAIN about our house. I am sure our realtor can't stand us. We are officially waiting to sell our house. We are going to do a few things around here to fix it up more and stay put for a couple of years. We just felt like we were forcing a move and the timing isn't really right. We would rather move when we can find a house in this area that we want to stay in long term. We are happy about this decision.

That's it for now. Please keep sweet Harrison and Baby 3 in your prayers.

My sweet snuggler.

Hey kiddo - I am sorry to hear that your "snuggler" has to go through this. If you need any advice or just want to talk to someone who has gone through this with a youngin - one of my bff's daughter just had her adenoids taken out - she is 2. Anyway. Hang in there. Hugs!
